On the Relevant Articles page, I've pasted a great story of a very brave young woman. In spite of being degraded and disempowered all her life, she was able to resist heavy pressure to abort against her will. The story has a happy ending and the baby was adopted. She received a photo of her daughter at age ten, and got an update from the adoptive parents. She realizes that she did the right thing. She learned she really was strong enough to do right by her child, even if she wasn't able to raise her. She also was able to make a decent life for herself afterward, overcoming everything that had been done to her, and despite the negative predictions of everyone around her. This might be because she realized she was strong enough to protect her child and give her life, despite pressure from all sides to have the child killed. She realized such stubbornness could also be used to make a decent life for herself.
It's a good read with a happy ending. But it also shows how merciless hard core pro-aborts can be, shoving unwanted abortions down womens throats. If Annie was physically weaker, not as fast a runner (yes, they chased her), or just not as able to resist being worn down, little Rachel would have been killed.
Tragically, some people think that's what should have happened, and that Rachel shouldn't be in the world. Some people believe women should only have the right to choice if they choose death, but not if they choose life. The hard core pro-aborts really are anti-child, and pro-death. Certainly anybody who is against adoption may hate children, or is at least is indifferent to their well being. Many hard core pro-aborts hate adoption. They work very hard to give adoption a bad public reputation. Don't let them talk you out of adoption, especially if it's your only alternative to abortion.
