I am a woman in my mid fifties, unmarried (at the persent time), and I don't have children. Not having children isn't my choice, it's just the way my life turned out. I also have Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder. More than once I've wondered if people like me will be rationed out of Obama's health care.
You may wonder what makes me so interested in other people's pregnancies. Well, I have a past. I did have a pregnancy scare once, and knew the family of the would-be dad would expect an abortion out of me. They were not violent, and I doubt they would have physically harmed me over it (emotional harm might be another story). But I knew the pressure would have been intense. If I was pregnant, I wanted to save my energy for the baby, not use it up fighting off pressure to abort. I was plotting to get out of town for awhile, maybe stay with relatives, and not tell the dad's family until after the baby was born. It turned out that I wasn't pregnant. This was back in the early 1980's when I was in my twenties.
As the years went by, I became more intensely pro-life. I also read widely and learned about abortion pressure. The internet kept me abreast of what was going on in the world. I learned that many women are subjected to violence to make them abort, and some are even killed, just for refusing to. The attitudes of the pro-abortion elements in society are getting harsher. The pro-choicers are very silent on pro-abortion violence against pregnant women.
If I can help some pregnant women escape a forced abortion, that will make me glad that I've done this web site.
Of course I'm a Christian. But if you're not, don't let that stop you from checking out the rest of this web site and its links. You might pick up some info that helps bring your baby into the world.
